Thiruvananthapuram: Terrorists have sneaked into various committees of CPM, from branch to the state, said Congress leader Cheriyan Philip. The factional fight within CPM in several districts is now triggered by religion, he said. The former CPM fellow-traveller also alleged that terrorist forces are controlling lower committees of the party.

CPM leaders are also active in religious and caste organisations. CPM is pampering communal forces through these leaders. Their policy to sneak into committees of religious institutions have backlashed.

The party's policy on majoritarian and minoritarian communalism is not transparent. Is MV Govindan's stand on the matter the official policy of the party? Certain DYFI leaders first converted the religion of the partner for marrying them. CPM has not distanced from such leaders, Philip accused.
