
Kochi: The preliminary report by police found that there could be truth in the complaint that documents were forged in connection with the land transaction at Ernakulam-Angamaly archdiocese.
The police submitted a report in the court stating that a case should be registered and that investigation should be held into the land deal at Thrikkakara.
The police had conducted a preliminary investigation under CrPC section 202. The officials could not find any files regarding the title deed in the Revenue office. Hence, the police are of the preliminary assumption that the title deed was forged. Based on this the officials told the court that a case should be registered and that investigation should be held.
It must be noted that 74 cents of land at block number 8 inside Vazhakkala village was sold as plots to 7 people. The land came under the survey number 407/1. The complaint was that forged documents were used to sell the land.
