Malappuram: In a case of suspected mob attack, Rajesh Manji, a guest worker from Bihar, was found dead in Kizhisseri on Saturday. The incident occurred in the early hours at Onnam Mile region of Kizhisseri-Tavanur road.

According to reports, locals spotted him under mysterious circumstances and apprehended him. They accused him of theft and reportedly beat him up.

The incident came to light after the person was found severely injured and unattended on the roadside. Residents informed the matter to police and they rushed him to a nearby private hospital but could not be saved.

The body of Rajesh Manji has been taken to Kozhikode Medical College, where it is currently being kept. According to reports, his body has several bruises.

Meanwhile, locals have claimed that Rajesh Manji fell from the sunshade of a house, which caused his injuries. However, the police are still investigating the matter to determine the cause of his death.

Manji had been staying in a rented building in the area since Friday. He was working at a poultry feed farm in the region.
