Kannur: Survey stones that were laid as part of the land acquisition for the K-Rail were uprooted at Madayipara here on Friday. Seven survey stones were found piled up on the roadside along with a wreath placed over it. 

The wreath was found on the road leading to the Madai temple from Madayipara. The incident was first spotted by commuters on Friday morning. As of now, the miscreants behind the act is still unknown. 

Earlier, survey stones for the K-Rail projects had been similarly uprooted in Madayipara. Further, environmental groups and political groups have been protesting against the designated passage of the K-Rail Silverline project through this area.
