The results of Mathrubhumi-MaxEd survey have come out and has given interesting insights on the citizenry.
Around 4,000 individuals took part in the survey that had questions which touched various aspects of Kerala.
The major takeaways are:
- Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has the highest popular support among the political leaders in the state. 48.5 per cent of respondents supported Vijayan. Oommen Chandy (17.07%), VS Achuthanandan (8.55%), Shashi Tharoor (4.49%) and VD Satheesan (2.82%) are the others in the top positions.
- 45% of the respondents find Opposition in Kerala is working efficiently under the leadership of VD Satheesan and K Sudhakaran
- 67% think BJP will have no growth in the state.
- 58% of the respondents are against SilverLine project.
- 63% believe appointments of the government are not transparent
- Respondents are divided over the Governor-Government tussle. 50% of respondents support Governor, while the other 50% support government.
- 56% of respondents think intervention of central agenices like ED are politically motivated
- 63% think that the government subdues to the pressure of socio-religious unions
- 62% of respondents don’t believe the claims of gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh
- 68% believe that Shashi Tharoor should take up the leadership of UDF in the state
- 54% believe Bharat Jodo Yatra will turn productive for Congress
