Piravom: Smija, who was honest enough to deliver a bumper ticket worth Rs 6 cr to the person, got a commission of Rs 51 lakh. Sasi Balan, owner of Fortune Lotteries in Piravom, and his wife Saina handed over the commission cheque to Smija.

Smija sold Rs 6 cr worth summer bumper tickets from Bhagyalakshmi Agency in Pattimattom, which is owned by Saina. Smija asked Chandran, an acquaintance and gardener at Chakumkulangara Palachuvattil, over the phone to buy an unsold ticket.

The moment she found out that Rs 6 cr has been won for this ticket, Smija went with her husband and handed over the ticket to Chandran. Sasi Balan and his wife Saina, two lottery wholesalers, paid Rs 51 lakh to Smija after tax from the Rs 60 lakh they received as commission.
