Kochi: A CBI report stated that actress Leena Maria Paul and her husband Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who are involved in a huge scam, spoofed the contact numbers of the Prime Minister's Office, the Home Ministry and the Supreme Court judge.

Leena's husband Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is in the Tihar Jail, contacted the victims from the spoofed numbers. They spoofed the numbers and convinced the rich who are involved in some fraud cases that they can save them with high influence.

Samba Siva Rao, a businessman arrested in a case in Hyderabad, was approached by Leena's people and promised to help him escape. Leena's husband Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who was in jail in another fraud case, called Rao from the spoofed number pretending to be a CBI official and demanded Rs 3 crore from him.

The suspect Rao informed the investigating officers of the case about this. Police received four phones during a search in Leena's house in Kochi. During the examination of these phones in detail, the history of Sukesh's frequent calls to and from the jail was obtained.

Sukesh, who is in jail, made calls from spoofed numbers with the help of some special apps. The CBI investigation has revealed spoofed information, including the Prime Minister's office number. Leena Maria Paul is currently in jail in connection with another similar fraud of Rs 200 crore.
