Suicide of law student in Aluva: CI Sudheer has a long history of misconduct
Aluva: Aluva East Circle Inspector Sudheer, who was relieved from his duty as station officer following the suicide of a law student here, has previously been accused of misconduct several times. While being the in-charge of the Anchal and Kadakkal police stations in Kollam, he was accused of various offences such as indecency and misbehaviour.
An internal inquiry following the investigation of the Uthra murder case had revealed serious lapses on his part. During the preliminary investigation phase of the case, there were complaints that he failed to take into account the reports of the SI and ASI. It was also reported that there were lapses and misconduct on his part in collecting evidence.

On the day of Uthra's death, the relatives were sceptical when the inquest proceedings were completed. It was alleged that CI Sudheer did not take into account the crucial shreds of evidence which later proved to be vital for the Crime Branch in ensuring justice.
Similarly, in another case involving the suicide of a man after murdering his wife in Anchal, Sudheer demanded that the bodies be brought to his house to complete the inquest proceedings. Former Kollam Rural SP Harishankar, while looking into the matter, said that Sudheer should not be posted in the law and order sections.
Similarly, he was issued a warning for misbehaving with the migrant workers who came to complain during his time in Kollam. It was reported that he made the migrant labourers clean the station premises and let them leave only by evening.
