Wayanad: The Student Police Cadet (SPC) unit at Panamaram in Wayanad has decided to provide free sports coaching for the Public Service Commission (PSC) aspirants in the region. The training sessions are aimed to make the candidates able to crack the physical tests that follow written examinations conducted by the commission.

In the initial phase of the project, as many as 30 youths belonging to the tribal groups of the district will be provided with free coaching sessions at Government Higher Secondary School in Panamaram. The project will be extended to the district-level later.

Earlier, a sports trainer in the district, T Navas, had shared the ordeal of an Anjukunnu native, who failed in a physical test conducted by the PSC at Kozhikode. This incident urged the SPC unit to launch free training sessions for the PSC aspirants in Wayanad.
