Thiruvananthapuram: Around 20 people were injured in a stray dog attack in Pothencode. The victims include three women and nine migrant workers. The dog has not yet been located.
According to eyewitnesses, the dog turned aggressive and began attacking people around 7 pm on Wednesday. The attacks stretched from Pothencode Junction to Pulanthara, about one and a half kilometres away.
The dog moved from the Pothencode bus stand through Melemukku and continued towards Pulanthara, attacking everyone it encountered along the way. All those injured were bitten on the leg and have sought treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Efforts to locate the dog are ongoing.
