The teenager, a native of Palakkad, had disappeared while on a tourist visit

Mysuru: The search for Sreenanda, a Malayali girl who went missing in Chikkamagaluru, ended in tragedy after more than three days, as her body was recovered from a depth of nearly 1,500 feet.
Sreenanda, a 15-year-old Class 10 student from Palakkad, had traveled to Chikkamagaluru with around 40 family members on a tour. She went missing on Tuesday evening while visiting the Manikyadhara waterfall in the Baba Budan Giri hills.
According to reports, Sreenanda was last seen in a family photograph taken at 5:20 PM. However, she was not visible in another photo taken just 15 minutes later, at 5:35 PM, raising concerns about her sudden disappearance.
After an intensive search operation involving nearly 100 people, including personnel from the forest department, police, and local residents, her body was found in a deep gorge near the Manikyadhara waterfall.
A team from the Kerala Police had also joined the search efforts. The family has alleged that there are suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and has called for a thorough investigation.
