
Thiruvananthapuram: Amid COVID crisis, six spinning mills in the state gained profit in November, the Department of Industries informed.
Two mills under the Kerala State Textile Corporation (KSTC) and four cooperative spinning mills made profit in November.
Malappuram cooperative spinning mill had already made profit in October and its profit in November was Rs 26.72 lakh. The net profit in November was Rs 4.65 lakh. The mill is running in profit after 10 years.
Alappuzha spinning mill obtained a profit of Rs 19.81 lakh, Malabar spinning and weaving mill earned Rs 8.5 lakh and Chengannur Prabhuram Mills gained Rs 2.1 lakh.
