Anchal (Kollam): The son of Kollam Anchal native Uthra, who died of snakebite at her husband's house, has been renamed as Arjav by his maternal grandparents.

The child was named as Dhruv by his father Suraj and family. However, Uthra's family decided to name him Arjav as the boy has to face the world with sincerity and straightforwardness.

Uthra (25), daughter of Vijayasenan and Manimekhala, died of snakebite on May 7, 2020. Though it was thought to be a natural death, Uthra's family lodged a police complaint and found that Uthra's husband Suraj knowingly placed the snake in their house to kill her.

Soon after Uthra's death, Suraj and family took the child claiming right on her property. The Child Welfare Committee intervened in the issue and handed over the baby to Uthra's family. When Uthra died, the baby was only one year old. Now he is two years and three months old.

Uthra's parents and brother Vishnu are taking care of Arjav now. After waking up in the morning, the child is taken to Uthra's photo first. He starts his daily chores only after praying and giving a kiss to the picture.

The only hope and happiness of Uthra's parents lie on the child now. They forget their pain on seeing the smiling face of Arjav. The trial is progressing in Uthra case. It will be completed before July 10.
