Thiruvananthapuram: Six children under the care of the Child Welfare Committee here have been admitted to the hospital with fever and cold symptoms.

The hospitalizations come in the wake of the tragic death of a five-and-a-half-month-old child, who passed away while undergoing treatment at SAT Hospital on Saturday. 

This marks the second death of a child under the care of CWC within a month, with the first happening on February 18. While the exact cause of the recent death remains unclear, the infant reportedly had pre-existing health issues.
