Thrissur: The officials of Ernakulam North Police visited actor Shine Tom Chacko’s residence in Mundur, Thrissur, to serve a notice directing him to appear for questioning.

As the actor was not at home at the time, the notice was handed over to his family members, including his father and siblings.

The notice, issued by the Ernakulam North Police, instructs Shine to appear before the Sub-Inspector at 10 am on Saturday. Two officers reportedly delivered the notice in person after repeated attempts to contact the actor by phone failed.

The officials later informed the media that Shine had given an assurance he would comply with the directive. Meanwhile, the Shine's family had stated that the actor would appear before film industry organisations on Monday to provide an explanation.

The authorities are believed to be seeking clarity over Shine’s alleged decision to flee the scene during a recent inspection at a private hotel in Kochi. Following the incident, reports suggest the actor checked into a luxury hotel in Bolgatty before heading to Thrissur early the next morning. He is then believed to have crossed into Tamil Nadu.
