The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, when a car parked at a shopping complex in the heart of Aluva raised suspicion

Aluva: A car with broken glass… inside a duck and a rabbit, along with a hammer and a knife. Locals gathered around the vehicle, and the police arrived to investigate. Eventually, the mystery was resolved. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, when a car parked at a shopping complex in the heart of Aluva raised suspicion. The broken window only deepened the intrigue. Unaware of all this, the car owner was at home, fast asleep in a heavy hangover.
The car owner, a native of Aluva Casino area, is fond of pets. The previous day, he had bought the duck and rabbit from Thottumugham. He had placed them in the car and come to town on Tuesday night to booze. It was only after returning that he realised he had lost the car key.
Since the animals were inside, the car window was broken to ensure ventilation, the police said. The police provided water and food to the animals. Nearby shopkeepers informed pet shop owners in Thottumugham, who arrived and took the animals away.
The bag and documents inside the car were not missing. The tools found in the car belonged to the owner’s workplace. By noon, the owner arrived and moved the car from the parking area.
