Thiruvananthapuram: Cornered in the controversy over the death of veterinary student Sidharthan, SFI apologised to Sidharthan’s family. E Afsal, central committee member of SFI, mentioned this during a television discussion on Sunday night, saying that, SFI state president K Anusree visited the house of Sidharthan and listened to everything the family members had said,  with bowed head. 

 “Members of our organisation had done what should not have been done. It is unacceptable. If SFI can not lead the members of the organisation the way we want, even if it is an isolated incident, it can not be accepted. We hang our heads down in shame and beg for forgiveness.SFI activists committed a mistake and we accept that. We will conduct an introspection regarding this’, said Afsal.
