Midhun was fatally electrocuted on July 17 when he came into contact with a live wire while reportedly retrieving his shoe from above the roof of a cycle shed on the school premises.

Thiruvananthapuram: The headmistress of Thevalakkara Boys High School, S Suja, has been suspended following a direction from the General Education Department to the school management in the wake of the electrocution death of a 13-year-old student, Midhun.
The action was taken based on a recommendation from the Director of General Education (DGE).
Education Minister V Sivankutty earlier had announced that the department has also sanctioned an emergency assistance of ₹3 lakh to the student’s family from its Personal Deposits account.
