
Kuttippuram (Malappuram): Amid the COVID-19 fear, Kuttippuram police station received a overseas phone call from a man who informed that his daughter studying in class 5 wanted to donate to the chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) on her birthday.
When the police officers went to her house with a birthday cake, the little girl gave them her gold earrings, Rs 2000 gifted by her mother to get her birthday dress and also her savings from the piggy bank. She wanted to donate all these to the CMDRF. Henna Sara, daughter of Painkannur native Hamsa and Shemeema, studies in TRK ALP School in Valanchery.
As Hamsa is abroad, Henna asked him to contact the police station so that she could donate to the relief fund. Following this, Inspector C K Nasar, SI K R Ranjith and other officers visited their house and received the donation. The police officers appreciated Henna for her kindness and also celebrated her birthday with cake cutting.
