Kochi: Serious allegations have been raised against Kerala Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar. According to reports, the minister’s wife has alleged that she saw him in a compromising situation and captured photographic evidence of the incident. Ganesh Kumar’s close aides allegedly restrained her and attempted to seize her mobile phone. It is also alleged that although the police reached the spot, they withdrew without intervening.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2 pm on Saturday. The minister’s wife had arrived unexpectedly at the family house in Valakam, where she allegedly saw Ganesh Kumar in a compromising situation.

Ganesh’s wife, who is the sister-in-law of former DGP R Sreelekha, immediately contacted her. Sreelekha advised her to seek help by calling the government emergency helpline 112.

Following this, she contacted 112 emergency control room in Thiruvananthapuram, informed the police about her identity, and explained the situation. Police soon arrived at the location but allegedly withdrew without intervening in the incident.

After the police left, she again entered the house and took photographs. The minister allegedly instructed his aides, Pradeep and Shantan, to take away the mobile phone from her. The aides reportedly locked the door and tried to snatch the phone, but she refused to give.

During the scuffle, she cried out loudly for police help. Amid the struggle, she managed to open the door and come outside, but since she did not see the police team there, she left the place in the taxi in which she arrived.

When mathrubhumi.com contacted Ganesh Kumar’s wife, she neither confirmed nor denied the incident.

However, when former DGP R Sreelekha was contacted, she confirmed the developments. She said that the minister’s wife had called her around 2 pm on Saturday, and after hearing what had happened, she immediately advised her to call the 112 emergency number.

Sreelekha clarified that she spoke to Ganesh Kumar’s wife not as a councillor or BJP leader, but as the sister of her husband.
