Palakkad: P Sarin, who lost the Palakkad Assembly byelection as an LDF candidate, apologised to his makeover artist-cum-hairstylist over a theft allegation raised by his associate. The young politician also stated that he was not aware of the incident and came to know only later.
Earlier, the makeover artist, Bava Pattambi, has alleged that an associate of Sarin had mistreated him when he sought remuneration for his work, and that the person, identified as Bose, also accused him of stealing Rs 35,000 from Sarin’s house.
Meanwhile, Sarin said he is unsure how the money was lost and cannot say if anyone took it. Sarin also said that he had asked the workers to check if the money was kept there itself. However, Sarin added, it was completely irresponsible to suggest that it was Bava’s fault.
Sarin also mentioned that he had known Bava for four years. He said he could not pick up Bava’s call when he tried calling Sarin last night. “By the time I called him in the morning, Bava had already spoken to the media,” Sarin explained.
Bava Pattambi, a well-known makeover artist who has worked with various political leaders and celebrities, had come forward against Sarin. Bava claimed that when he asked for payment for his work, he was accused of theft. Bava had also stated that it was Bose, an associate of P Sarin, who accused him of stealing. Bava Pattambi also said he is preparing to take legal action in the matter.
