Kozhikode: Senior journalist G Sakthidharan on Thursday freshened up his allegations regarding “unaccounted cash” handled by CPM leaders. He wrote the outcome would not have been different even if had "revealed" that that it was chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and minister P Rajeev who counted the money totalling Rs 2.35 cr and transported it from Ernakulam to Thiruvananthapuram in 2004.
The Facebook post comes days after police decided to end the investigation into his allegation, made months ago. He had not mentioned any names back then. He neither gave any further information to the police when they questioned him. It led to the closure of the case.

In the latest post, he criticised the media houses for “focusing on the means of smuggling the amount rather than the real issue” and said nothing would have changed even if he had "revealed" the names earlier itself.
