Thiruvananthapuram: More images have surfaced showing UDF convener and Attingal MP Adoor Prakash standing with Unnikrishnan Potti, the prime accused in the Sabarimala gold theft case, and his friend Ananthasubrahmanyan at a function held at Sabarimala in 2020, a year after the gold theft incident that took place in 2019. The photographs are now circulating widely.

The images show Adoor Prakash attending the inauguration of a Thiruvathira event at Sabarimala and watching the programme while seated on the stage alongside Potti.

In recent days, visuals have also emerged indicating a long-standing association between Unnikrishnan Potti and two prominent political leaders from different parties in Kerala.

On Sunday morning, a new photograph showing former Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran with Potti had also surfaced. Soon after, by afternoon, fresh images showing Adoor Prakash and Potti together at the same event were released. A Facebook post sharing the images makes it clear that Adoor Prakash attended the programme in his capacity as a Member of Parliament, at an event organised by Unnikrishnan Potti.

The post, shared on January 1, 2020, by the Facebook page Sabarimala News Update, states: “As part of the Makaravilakku Mahotsavam, children from the Vennjaramoodu Jeeva Kala Cultural Centre performed Thiruvathira at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam on New Year’s Day. The function was inaugurated by MP Adoor Prakash.”

The newly surfaced images are being cited as reinforcing claims that both leaders attended programmes organised by Unnikrishnan Potti. Earlier, photographs taken at different locations and times showing the leaders with Potti’s family members, associates and co-accused in the Sabarimala case had also come to light.
