Pathanamthitta: The darshan timings at Sabarimala have been revised ahead of the upcoming pilgrimage season. According to the new schedule, devotees will be allowed darshan from 3 AM to 1 PM, and again from 3 PM to 11 PM, providing a total of 17 hours for worship each day.
The new timings will be implemented for the entire Sabarimala season, starting from Vrishchikam 1. The decision was made during a Devaswom Board meeting held on Friday.
In addition to the revised timings, a grace period of 48 hours will be given for those who book their darshan through the virtual queue booking.
The Devaswom Board has also announced a temporary arrangement will be made for devotees who have not registered online.
This announcement follows an earlier decision made during a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to limit daily visitors to 80,000 and require online booking to manage crowds during the Sabarimala Mandala-Makaravilakku festival.
