A disagreement over the amount of chicken in a sandwich led to a physical fight at a Chicking outlet in Kochi on Tuesday. Police have registered cases based on complaints from both the students and the outlet manager.
The incident began when Plus One students claimed that the sandwich served to them had less chicken than expected. They raised the issue with the staff and later with the outlet manager.
Students allege knife threat
The students said the argument worsened when the manager allegedly came out of the kitchen holding a knife, waved it and tried to attack them. After this, the students reportedly called their brothers to the outlet.
A physical clash then broke out between the students’ relatives and the manager, causing tension at the shop.
The video of incident has emerged on social media.
Complaints filed by both sides
The students filed a complaint with the police against the manager. The manager also lodged a complaint, claiming that the students had assaulted him.
Police said cases have been registered based on both complaints and further action is under way.
