Thiruvananthapuram: Recently, MC road witnessed a historical event as thousands gathered along the highway, fighting rain and fatigue, to witness the last journey of their beloved leader Oommen Chandy. In the light of this, Congress leader V.M Sudheeran has written a letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, requesting him to rename the road.

Sudheeran said that the unparalleled mourning and the actions of the people were such that the road actually became OC’s own. In this situation, it is fitting that MC road be renamed and known as OC road hereon, Sudheeran added.
