Dubai: Even as the controversy surrounding EP Jayarajan's autobiography continues to reverberate in Kerala’s political circles, Ravi DC, CEO of DC Books, has chosen not to comment further. He said that DC Books is merely a facilitator in the publication process.
"I don’t want to say more about the controversy. We issued a clarification on Facebook on Wednesday, and that sums up our stance on the matter," Ravi said. "We respect those in the public sphere. We are only facilitators and have nothing more to add on this issue."
On Wednesday, DC Books clarified that the release of Kattan Chayayum Parippu Vadayum has been postponed due to "technical reasons" related to the book’s production.
While Ravi DC did not deny the involvement of DC Books in publishing the autobiography, he declined to address questions regarding the contract agreement with the author. This has led to speculation about the absence of a formal agreement between the author and the publisher.
Meanwhile, Kottayam SP Shahul Hameed announced that a preliminary investigation would soon be conducted. However, no case has been registered yet. The report will be sent to the DGP, Shahul Hameed added.
