Thodupuzha (Idukki): Rapper Vedan will perform on Monday at the ‘Ente Keralam Exhibition and Trade Fair’ being held in Cheruthoni as part of the fourth anniversary celebrations of the second Pinarayi government. The performance is scheduled for 7 pm.
Vedan’s rap show was originally scheduled for April 29, but it was cancelled following his involvement in a legal case. However, the organisers decided to reschedule the event after Vedan was granted bail and publicly stated that he would strive to rectify his mistakes.
The ‘Ente Keralam Exhibition and Trade Fair’ will conclude on Friday
Vedan along with eight others was held by police with cannabis at a flat at Tripunithura. Around six grams of cannabis were seized from the location. During this incident, police noticed a pendant with what appeared to be a leopard tooth was worn by Vedan. The Forest Department was informed, and subsequent verification confirmed that it was indeed a real leopard tooth. A case was then registered under various provisions, including wildlife offences, leading to Vedan’s arrest by the Forest Department even after he had secured bail in the drug case. Later he was granted bail in that case too.
