Malappuram: Popular rapper Dabzee, whose real name is Mohammed Fasil, was arrested and later released on station bail by the Changaramkulam police in connection with a financial dispute. The incident reportedly occurred on Friday night.

According to police sources, Dabzee was taken into custody along with three of his friends following a complaint lodged by a local resident, Baasil from Kanjiyoor, and his father. The dispute is said to have arisen from a financial transaction between the parties involved.

After formally recording the arrest, the police released all four individuals on station bail the same night.

Dabzee had previously made headlines in January this year when he announced a one-year hiatus from the music scene. At the time, he stated that the break was intended to allow him to focus on personal growth, career development, and enhancing his creative output.

The rapper enjoys a significant following in Kerala's independent music scene, and news of the arrest has drawn considerable attention from fans and local media. However, no further details regarding the nature of the financial dispute are available at the moment.
