In major relief for passengers, the Palaruvi Express will be permanently augmented with additional Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

Effective from 14th August 2024, the train numbered 16791/16792, which operates between Tirunelveli and Palakkad, will see the addition of one Sleeper Class coach and three General Second Class coaches. 

With this, the train will have 5 sleeper class coaches, 11 general second class coaches and 2 luggage cum brake vans. The move aims to accommodate the growing number of passengers and improve overall travel comfort. Travellers are advised to take note of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
