Kozhikode: Annie Raja, the LDF candidate who was defeated in the Wayanad Lok Sabha polls, has now launched a scathing attack against Rahul Gandhi, the election winner from the constituency. Annie's remarks come as reports suggest Gandhi is poised to opt for Rae Bareli over Wayanad, where he contested and won.

“Ok Rahul Gandhi is planning to bid adieu to Wayanad. What is Congress’s plan for Wayanad now? Please, throw light on the road ahead? Rahul kind of cheated his faithful supporters in the constituency by hiding the information on his double candidacy in the polls,” Annie told media in Kozhikode.

“Rahul’s act is nothing but unethical. I wish for more debates on the efficacy of  double candidacy, especially under the current political circumstances. The election review pertaining to the Wayanad constituency is still under progress. There are no discussions as of now regarding the byelections. The decision rests with the party regarding who will fight for the front in the next round of elections,” said Annie Raja.
