Kerala-based SFO Technologies will manufacture advanced RBE2 AESA radars for India’s Rafale fighter jets, marking a major boost to Make in India.

Kochi: The radars for the 26 Rafale aircraft being manufactured for India by French company Dassault Aviation will be sourced from SFO Technologies, a Kerala-based firm.
SFO Technologies, which operates under the Nest Group, has secured a contract for the production of high-value, technically advanced, complex wired structures of the RBE2 AESA Radar of the Indian Rafale.
The RBE2 AESA radar is capable of providing real-time, high-resolution, three-dimensional images of terrain even under adverse weather conditions. It enables the monitoring of enemy movements from long distances and allows precision strikes on identified targets.
SFO Technologies received the contract from Thales, the French company that is a partner of Dassault Aviation. The value and duration of the contract have not been disclosed.
N Jahangir, chairman and managing director of SFO Technologies, stated that the company is proud to be a partner in the manufacturing of Rafale aircraft components and that the contract strengthens the “Make in India” initiative.
