Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government on Wednesday honoured R Roshan, Chief Sub Editor (Business News) at Mathrubhumi, with the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Prathibha Award 2022. Roshan received the award in the print media category, which includes ₹50,000, a certificate of recognition, and a memento.

The award, instituted by the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board (KSYWB) aims to inspire and guide the potential of youth. The board mentioned that Roshan was chosen for the award in recognition of his efforts to inspire and mentor young entrepreneurs.

A native of Thiruvananthapuram, R Roshan is the author of several books, including God's Own Entrepreneurs, Vijayapathakal, Startup: Thudangam Puthusamrambhangal, Oharinikshepam Ariyendathellam, and Swarnathil Engane Nikshepikkam. He has received numerous accolades for his work in promoting entrepreneurship, including the TiE Kerala Ecosystem Enabler Award, the Biz Gate Award for Best Financial Journalist, and recognition from the Kerala Startup Mission for his contributions to the startup sector. 

The award announcement was made by Minister for Fisheries, Culture, and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian. KSYWB Vice Chairman S. Satheesh and Member Secretary Prasannakumar.V.D were also present at the press conference.
