Kozhikode: Nilambur MLA P V Anvar has accused ADGP Ajith Kumar of being involved, both secretly and openly, in the mysterious disappearance of real estate dealer Attur Mohammad (Mami), a native of Balussery. Anvar claimed he had evidence to support his allegations.

Speaking to reporters in Kozhikode, Anvar said, "We don't know if Mami is being killed or held captive by criminal gangs. As an individual well-known in society, if he were still alive and had so many business connections, we would have found at least some clue by now. But since there’s no trace of him, I suspect he was murdered."

Anvar also alleged that Ajith Kumar and Sujith Das, are very close, "like brothers," and that they would do anything to protect each other. He further claimed that Ajith Kumar took a four-day leave, possibly to cover his tracks and rescue himself.

“I have serious doubts about the mystery behind Mami’s disappearance, but I’m not revealing everything right now because it could affect the investigation. I have gathered evidence and clues, which I will submit in a sealed envelope to the Crime Branch IG and the DGP, who is leading the Special Investigation Team,” Anvar said.

He urged Mami's family and the action committee to remain patient until the Crime Branch completes its investigation.

"I don't believe that the case will be solved just because it is taken over by CBI. I’m not criticising the CBI, but Ajith Kumar has strong ties within the agency and these personal connections could influence the outcome," he added.

He added that if the investigation were conducted honestly, the people of Kerala would come to understand the truth about Ajith Kumar.
