Alappuzha: A pothole-related accident claimed the life of Tulasi, an elderly resident of Kakkanadu. She was travelling with a relative on a scooter along the Kankalil road of Kakkanad on Wednesday evening when the vehicle struck a stone on the broken surface. The impact caused the scooter to lose balance, throwing Tulasi, who was seated at the back, onto the road.

Severe head injury proves fatal

Tulasi sustained a serious injury to the back of her head and was rushed to hospital. Despite treatment, her condition deteriorated, and she passed away on Thursday afternoon due to the severity of the injury.
