Kozhikode: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has called for a Collectorate march in six districts of Kerala to protest the Plus-One seat crisis in Malabar. The march is scheduled for May 29 in districts spanning from Kasaragod to Palakkad.
"In the districts from Kasaragod to Palakkad, approximately 50,000 children lack the opportunity to pursue their studies. Opportunities must be extended to all areas where they are lacking. The seat issue was effectively addressed when IUML managed the education department. Presently, 65 students are attending classes meant for 25," IUML State General Secretary PMA Salam claimed on Saturday.
He further accused the state government of disrupting children's education and insisted that deserving children should be granted the opportunity to learn.
