
Wayanad: A plantation worker has been killed in a wild elephant attack at Meppadi here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Kunjavaraan (58).
The incident happened around 7:15 am, when the worker was on his way to the plantation. It is learned that he was attacked near a transformer.
There are many coffee, tea, rubber, and vanilla plantations in the area. According to reports, the Elimbileri region has been facing a wild jumbo menace.
