Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court here on Friday issued an arrest warrant against Youth League General Secretary P.K. Firos for travelling abroad in violation of bail conditions.
The warrant was issued after Firos failed to comply with a key bail condition requiring him to surrender his passport to the court.
The case pertains to a protest march organised by the United Democratic Front (UDF) against the Chief Minister, which culminated in clashes with the police near the Kerala Assembly. Following the incident, P.K. Firos and Rahul Mamkootathil were arrested. Both were subsequently granted bail. Firos was granted bail with a condition that he must surrender his passport to the court.
However, the police informed the court that he had travelled abroad, directly breaching the bail conditions. Upon being summoned, his lawyer informed the court that Firos was currently in Turkey.
In response, the CJM Court issued an arrest warrant against P.K. Firos.
