CM hands over ID cards for the KAS officers

Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan carried out the formal inauguration of the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) here on Friday. Kerala sets the ground for accomplishing new projects and not only the supporters, but those who oppose such initiatives will also get the benefits of it, said the CM.

By appreciating PSC for launching KAS, Pinarayi said that the state has been wishing to roll out the KAS since the state was formed. Many governments had attempted to set the service in motion and failed. But, this government has the support of the people, added the CM.

The government’s prime focus is to make the civil services popular. Many of those who opposed the service initially extended their support later, said Pinarayi.

The KAS officers should consider the works of other departments along with their assigned ones. The CM also reminded to build a proper relationship between IAS and KAS officers.
