Pandalam: PG Sasikumar Varma (72), former president of the Pandalam palace executive committee, died at a private hospital in Thiruvalla on Tuesday evening. He suffered a brain haemorrhage.
Sasikumar Varma who was employed at the secretariat, had retired as the government deputy secretary. He had also served as the additional private secretary of former minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty.
Apart from his official responsibilities, Sasikumar gave meaningful contributions to various organisations all along his life, by adorning various positions in those organisations.
He is a member of the Pandalam royal family and is survived by wife Meera Varma and three children.
The last rites will take place on Wednesday on the Pandalam palace premises.
