Mananthavady: Manoj Kishan (28), a native of Jharkhand and a migrant labourer, was injured after breaking the front glass of a moving KSRTC bus and jumping out. The incident took place at Dwaraka near Mananthavady around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.
Manoj Kishan was a passenger on a bus that had departed from Kozhikode for Mananthavady. He had bought a ticket along with his friends. He is suspected to be mentally unstable.
The conductor had asked Manoj to get down from the bus after he began showing signs of distress at the Chundale stop.
As the bus reached Dwarka, Manoj, who had come running from the back of the bus, hit his head against the front glass and jumped out. He sustained serious head injuries and was admitted to Wayanad Government Medical College Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital.
