Kerala High Court extends Paliyekkara toll ban till Friday, citing incomplete road works in the District Collector’s report. Case to be heard again.

Thrissur: The ban on toll collection at Paliyekkara will remain in place until Friday, after the High Court adjourned the case once again.
When the matter was heard on Wednesday, the District Collector appeared before the court online, following an earlier directive to provide further clarification.
The Collector informed the court that he had submitted a report to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) outlining areas where construction work remains incomplete and said those issues should be addressed first.
The Centre and the NHAI argued that toll collection should be permitted without further delay, contending that it could not be held up until local road repairs were completed.
However, the court maintained that the District Collector’s report must be considered before resuming toll collection. The case was adjourned to Friday.
