Adv P Sathidevi taking charge as chairperson of the Women's Commission
Thiruvananthapuram: Former MP Advocate P Sathidevi assumed charge as the seventh chairperson of the Kerala State Women's Commission. She had taken charge as the interim chairperson of the commission on October 1, 2021 following the resignation of M C Josephine. Sathidevi’s term had ended on Tuesday. A notification had been released following this re-appointing her the new chief of the commission.
Sathidevi who arrived at the headquarters in the morning was welcomed by the commission member secretary Sonia Washington and others.
Commission member Advocate M S Tara who completed five years' tenure on May 24 was given a farewell at the headquarters on the last day. There is currently one vacancy in the five-membered commission.
