Kannur: Chief Minister's political secretary P. Sasi has sent another legal notice against former MLA and Trinamool Congress state convener P.V. Anvar, following Anvar's remarks that the accusation of ₹150 crore raised against Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan in the Assembly was made under Sasi's instructions. This is the fourth legal notice sent by Sasi to Anvar.
P. Sasi had previously sent legal notices to Anvar regarding all the allegations raised against him and ADGP Ajithkumar after Anvar made public accusations against them raising a banner of revolt. While the related cases are still progressing in the courts, Sasi has now sent yet another notice.
During his first press conference after resigning as MLA, Anvar had alleged that the accusation against V.D. Satheesan in the Assembly was done based on P Sasi’s instruction and that he apologised to Satheesan for it. It is against this claim that the latest legal notice has been sent, demanding Anvar to issue an unconditional apology and withdraw his statement.
P. Sasi, in response, had recently stated that Anvar's remarks were blatant lies and that no such incident had occurred. He also made it clear that he would take action against Anvar's baseless and malicious accusations.
