Since the bank had holidays till Monday, Arun assured the company that he would return the entire amount on Tuesday.

Adoor (Pathanamthitta): Due to a mistake by a private company, Rs 50 lakh was credited to the bank account of a youth. The process of returning the money has been completed.
The amount was transferred from a private company in Bengaluru to the Federal Bank account of Arun Nellimugal, secretary of the SNDP branch No 3682 at Nellimugal, Adoor, and a member of the Chakkorchira temple management committee.
The money had originally been transferred by the company owner to his other account, but was mistakenly credited to the account of Arun. Since Arun was also a former employee of the same company, he immediately initiated steps to return the money.
On Friday evening at around 5 PM, Arun received a message on his phone that ₹53,53,891 had been deposited in his account. He immediately contacted the company to check if the transfer had been made correctly. The company officials soon called him back and confirmed that the money had been credited mistakenly.
Arun then requested a formal letter from the company for bank procedures to return the money. The company sent the letter via email. Since the bank had holidays till Monday, Arun assured the company that he would return the entire amount on Tuesday.
