Kottayam: Senior Congress leader and former chief minister Oommen Chandy said that the party will not take up the Kuttanad seat.

In the context of the issues in Kerala Congress, both parties will have to reach a consensus regarding the candidate for the election, he said.

Oommen Chandy added that he has asked both parties to solve the issue through discussions.

“The Kuttanad seat belongs to Kerala Congress. We will discuss it with them. Under this unusual context, there should be a candidate that should be acceptable for both the parties. We will inform them about this” Oommen Chandy said.
