Kozhikode: Reiterating that there is nothing more to be said in the irregular financial dealings allegations, minister PA Mohamed Riyas said that there is no need to respond to accusations raised by each and every person. Those who have lost sleep over the CPM’s return to power should either take medicines or do some exercise, he said. The minister added that whether he chooses to respond or keep quiet, he makes it to the headlines nevertheless.

The statement of the party secretariat of which I am a part, has been released. All aspects, legal and otherwise were clarified. The country has a legal system in place to check all this. Let them do their job, there is no need for fear or worry in this matter, Riyas further said.

“Some people seem to be suffering from indigestion after the people brought the LDF government back in power for the second time. There doesn’t seem to be a cure for this. Was it a mistake that people re-elected us?

I can’t move a muscle. If I walk forward, it may be manipulated into me attacking the journalists. If I keep quiet, it will be said that I didn’t respond. If I laugh, the news will likely say that I am mocking you. If I turn around, you will say I have run away from the media. I am human too”, Riyas said.
