“No one invited me to Nilambur,” said Shashi Tharoor, breaking silence on his absence from the by-poll campaign

Nilambur: Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has commented on his absence from the Nilambur by-election campaign, stating that he was not invited to participate in any rallies.
Speaking openly on the matter, Tharoor said, “No one invited me to Nilambur”, while clarifying that he does not believe the party deliberately avoided him. He acknowledged a difference in opinion with the state leadership but refrained from attributing his absence to exclusion by the party.
Meanwhile, the Congress party’s star campaigners list shows his name at the eighth position. Tharoor had earlier stated that he would have gone to Nilambur if he had been asked, implying exclusion from the campaign.
