Malappuram: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, whose presence at several events in north Kerala has been making news for the past few days, said on Tuesday that he does not intend to create a new group within the party.
"Congress needs no new groups. We have ‘A’ and ‘I’. If we need anything more, it is ‘U’ for united," Tharoor said after meeting Muslim League leaders in Panakkad. Kozhikode MP MK Raghavan also accompanied him.
“We are just two party MPs visiting leaders of a UDF ally. There is nothing wrong in it," the Thiruvananthapuram MP said.
Tharoor said he conveyed his wishes regarding the meeting held in Chennai, Mumbai and Bengaluru by IUML for communal harmony.
