New Delhi: K Tariq Anwar, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in-charge of Kerala, dismissed the allegations of neglect towards MP K Muraleedharan by the Kerala party leadership, stating that there is no basis for such claims. Anwar cautioned against crossing the 'Lakshmana Rekha' with leaders who may have disagreements and emphasised the need for open communication with the party leadership.
Furthermore, Anwar cited Muraleedharan's recent participation in a program held in Wayanad. He reiterated that the Congress is a democratic party where everyone is entitled to express their opinions, and encouraged dialogue with the leadership in case of disagreements.

He complained to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) for not inviting him to speak at the event. Muraleedharan felt that the state leadership intentionally avoided him.
Anwar also said that Congress reorganisation would happen soon. Preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are already underway, he said. He highlighted that after Rahul Gandhi's disqualification from the Lok Sabha, 18 parties have expressed support for the Congress, which will continue at the state level as well.
In addition, Anwar expressed scepticism about the visits of BJP leaders to churches, stating that their policies are well-known and such actions may not necessarily favour the ruling party.
